Paper Angel Art Doll

Yesterday I had my first go at a paper art doll. I made a dottee doll last month and do want to continue trying to make these art doll type things. I have a lot of catching up to do but it interests me.

I made this one for my sister:

This is a close up of her face:

I drew out the body on a separate paper and then cut it into pieces and traced it onto a paper that I had previously used to mix my paints on.

I was planning to connect the pieces with brads but the ones that I have are huge so I sewed the pieces on loosely instead. They are still movable this way.

I was inspired to make a paper doll by and am I’m linking it with the folks over at Art with no Boundaries where the week’s challenge was Anything goes and such a doll. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by.

  1. And I have to tell you your paper doll is a beauty. Love how you attached her parts so it doesn’t distract from the wonderful re-purposed papers you used. Thanks for entering at Art With No Boundaries, look forward to seeing some of your future projects.

  2. I love your art doll angel. She is fantastic for your first attempt. Can’t wait to see what you create in the future. Thanks for joining our challenge at AWNB :o)
